The mission of El Bethel International Ministries is to spread the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ by teaching His Word to all nations and by doing good works as He did on this earth. We are a non-denominational evangelistic organization with the burden to reach the unreached for Jesus Christ.
Our ministry is one that is: didactic (teaching), evangelistic, healing, prophetic, and charitable. We exist to show the love of Jesus through compassionate care for the needy and to revive/ strengthen the churches of Jesus Christ.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18, 19
Nursing Homes and Rehabilitation Centers
(Age group: 50’s to beyond 100 yrs. of age.)
We have a deep burden to go and share the love of Jesus in places where most people do not go and where there is little or no recognition or acknowledgment for services. These are the desperate, lonely, and neglected people in institutions, who are often abandoned to spend their last years and days in pain and misery without the personal touch of a caring visitor. More importantly, without any television or radio or computer access, they do not even have any opportunity to hear about the great hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even in cases where media access is offered, many are so severely incapacitated physically, that they not able to make use of it.
In Highland Rehabilitation Center – Middletown, NY, Schervier Pavillion – Warwick, NY and St. Joseph’s Place – Port Jervis, NY, the Lord has blessed the services we conduct to save and heal many as we praise and worship through songs, music, prayer, and the Word. Quite a number of patients and staff from varied personal and professional backgrounds have personally testified of the marvelous work of grace done in their lives as a result of our sharing the gospel with them.
Where the atmosphere was once dead and gloomy, there are now church services, now participants eagerly look forward to joining in the worship using tambourines and maracas along with us. In addition to the weekly services that we conduct for these dear ones on Saturdays, we have also had the great privilege of visiting people on their deathbeds and those who have been given up for dead in leading them to salvation.
Kindly continue to uphold this ministry in your prayers.
Homeless Rescue Missions
The Bowery Mission
New York, NY
(Age group: 20’s to 70’s)
We conduct chapel service at the NYC Rescue Mission every 2nd Monday of each month. We also hold weekly chapel services at the Harlem Bowery Mission to reach the destitute and lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many receive the teaching and join in worship of our Savior as serve our Lord with worship and serve the people with the Word of God. We have had the joy of seeing people in this mission respond to invitations to receive Jesus Christ. We also give clothing to keep warm during the winter season to these dear ones.
We have had the privilege to minister at the other largest and oldest rescue missions in the United States: Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, CA, San Diego Rescue Mission, CA, Las Vegas Rescue Mission in Nevada, and The Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, IL with the gospel at their Bible Study and Chapel service respectively. We also ministered at the Emergency Housing Group in Middletown, NY with songs and the Word during Christmas season. We praise God for all the souls that He has touched during these gatherings and services.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” 2 Peter 2:10
Orphans, Fatherless, Children with Disabilities and Children in Extreme Poverty
(Age group: 3-10)
We minister to the orphans, fatherless and the widows in India through our ELBIM India. The main office of ELBIM India is in Indira Nagar, Bangalore. Orphans, fatherless, children with disabilities and children who are extremely poor are given systematic teaching from the Word of God each Sunday at ELBIM Children’s Bible School in our Chennai location. Other neighborhood children also join the Sunday school every week and learn about the Lord Jesus Christ through Bible stories and other Bible related activities such as arts and crafts. These children come from Christian and Hindu families. In addition to this, we also provide our sponsor children school with supplies, clothing, cake and gifts for birthdays and a portion of their school fees. The children are also offered free, after school tutoring with their school work in the evenings Monday through Friday.
“Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?” Isaiah 58:7
(Age group: 20’s-30’s)
Another area in which we minister is to impoverished women who have suffered the loss of their spouses and are struggling to make ends meet, often with children to support. Presently, these women are led to God through Weekly Prayer and Bible Study at our Chennai location. Tailoring classes are conducted each day where these dear women are learning sewing to support themselves in the future. These women are also provided with clothing and given financial assistance periodically until they are able to sustain themselves. They also go to different villages to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27
State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz, NY
(Age group: 17-23)
On Saturdays, in the Indian Christian Students Club (ICSC), which ELBIM founded on campus, we meet with students of Indian origin as well as open the doors to those of all ethnic backgrounds. The emphasis is on instruction in the Word of God, along with a time of worship and consecration to God. We teach them how to walk in purity and be a light in the university.
Please pray for this very important ministry!
Ministry to Substance, Sexual, and Violence Abuse Victims/Former Abusers
(Age group: Teens to 60’s)
It is a great joy to see men and women of all ages get ignited with the love and zeal for God during the chapel services we conduct at various faith-based institutions such as Teen Challenge and Walter Hoving Home in different parts of the US. Often, we have heard from the pastor/directors that the Lord revealed many hearts and spoke to all during the message and worship time. We have received testimonies of God healing physical and mental impairments as well. The Lord has also given us the privilege to share His Word every month at state run secular rehabilitation centers such as Crossroads rehabilitation in New Haven, CT and Emergency Housing in Middletown. Please visit our Facebook page for more information.
Life Transforming Bible Study
Our weekly Bible study is on Fridays 6.00pm at the YCMA in 81 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. We use PowerPoint presentations to study the orgin and the reliability of the Holy Bible.
Radio Ministry and Television Ministry
As our ministry focuses on reaching the unreached, we use radio and television as a direct means of achieving this goal. We have our “God of Wonders” programs in English, Spanish, Tamil, Hindi, Russian, Arabic and German. We are currently working on having our messages translated in Urudu language. Please keep this part of our ministry in your prayers. Our Media page has more information on the Television and Radio programs on our website. Our programs are aired in many parts of the world almost every day of the week. In many restricted countries, our messages reach the minority of the believers who undergo severe persecution and are looking to the Lord to strengthen them. Our messages also reach many who would otherwise never hear the gospel.
We receive many emails and letters from our listeners from places such as Madrid, London, the Caribbean, Stuttgart, Australia, Spain etc. as well as from different states in the U.S., of how the Lord has touched their lives and healed them through our weekly programs. All glory belongs to the Living God through Whom all things are possible! We are thankful to the Lord for using this technology to publish the good news and minister the love of Jesus Christ. Please see our broadcast schedule and keep these programs and our listeners in your prayers.
Our radio and television messages are also made available on YouTube, Godtube, iTunes Podcast and archived on our website.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19, 20
All of our English radio messages are transcribed and are then being made available on our website for all to read. Our Spanish messages are also translated and transcribed and are made available on our website for our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters who are unable to hear our Spanish audio messages due to poor/no radio reception/internet connection. Please keep this ministry in your prayers.
Stories, devotions and poems for children are made available on our website. We are also in the process of bringing out our children’s literature in paper book and e-Book format as well as in Braille and Audio CD format for visually impaired children. Please keep our literature ministry in your prayers.
“Let the little children come to me and forbid them not.” Matthew 19:14.
Ministry in the Churches
“Thou hast magnified Thy Word above all Name.” – Psalm 138:2b
The Lord has helped us to strengthen the believers by sharing the Word of God in different churches across various denominations in the United States, India, and Canada. We have seen the Lord move in a powerful way during the church services, drawing the people to a deeper level of commitment to Jesus Christ.
“And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” Mark 16:20
Ministry to Missionaries and Persecuted Believers
We strive to prayerfully and materially support co-laborers in the Gospel who preach in hostile areas as the Lord leads. They carry the Light of Life in the midst of severe persecution, often with the marks of the dying of the Lord Jesus on their very bodies as they suffer for His Name.
“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:34-40
We very strongly believe that a ministry’s foundation should be laid on the sound doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ and fervent prayer. ELBIM believes in the power of fasting prayer for spiritual breakthroughs concerning all needs, both for the ministry operations and for requests sent in by our listeners/viewers. Hence, we have a prayer team that dedicates itself to that end. We have seen the Lord move in a powerful way during our team fasting prayer. All glory to God alone!
